The Golden State Warriors are facing a challenging task in the NBA play-in round as they aim to secure a spot in the playoffs. In a recent episode of his podcast, “The Draymond Green Show,” Warriors player Draymond Green discussed the play-in tournament, which is only in its sixth season this year. Green’s statements suggested that he had mixed feelings about the arrangement.
“I hate the play-in. Just so you all—I absolutely hate it. It’s the best thing ever created. When you look at the play-in and what it’s done for basketball, it’s the best thing ever created. I don’t know who came up with it, I know Bron said they need to be fired. If they were fired when Bron said that, they need their job back. Since the NBA has added the play-in, it’s taken the last month and a half of the season to a totally different level. Like, totally different. So, I hate the play-in. I especially hate being the 10 seed. But as much as I hate it, as a basketball player, as a basketball fan, this play-in is nuts, and you gotta love it.” Draymond Green said this during his own podcast.
Draymond Green has expressed mixed feelings about the NBA play-in tournament

He believes that the heightened intensity near the end of the regular season is due to the establishment of the play-in tournament.
These comments reveal the NBA’s evolving nature and the ongoing debate over the benefits of the play-in round.
The NBA is continuously exploring new ways to increase competition and get more fans. Even if teams adapt to the format, the thrill of postseason basketball will remain at the heart of the NBA experience
