The Los Angeles Lakers faced the New Orleans Pelicans as their last opponents of the regular season. The Lakers big man Anthony Davis got injured in the game after clashing with Larry Nance Jr. in the air. Davis was seen leaving the court, walking gingerly, but he did not return.

Nevertheless, the Purple and Gold were able to secure a win despite their big man leaving mid-game thanks to a stellar display from LeBron James. After the game, Anthony Davis participated in a post-game interview where he shared his thoughts regarding his injury and his availability for the upcoming Play-In tournament, which will decide the Playoff future for the Lakers.

During the interview, Davis reaffirmed the fans that he would be available for the Play-In tournament. “I got shoved in the back and my back just locked up on me. It’s nothing concerning… I was in the air, so, yes, it was a dangerous play but I know (Nance) is not a dirty player. No doubt that I am going to play… Get some treatment, keep it loose, and just see how I feel over the next 24 to 36 hours.”

He revealed that the play by Nance was dangerous but also showed his sportsmanship, crediting the Pelicans PF for not being a dirty player. Anthony Davis also revealed that the injury was not concerning and that he would be available for the Play-In tournament. As for his immediate steps, AD revealed that he would be getting the necessary treatment and see how he feels in the next few days.
