When the Tennessee Titans let go of head coach Mike Vrabel, he had high expectations of landing another coaching job in no time.

However, the NFL Draft is about to begin, and Vrabel hasn’t found a job in the NFL, not even as an assistant coach. Also, all the teams with head coach vacancies have secured coaches during the off-season.

Given that this is the first time since 2017 that Vrabel has tons of free time ahead of the upcoming NFL season, TMZ Sports spotted the former NFL head coach in Sin City playing gambling solo.

On Thursday evening, Vrabel was seen at a craps table at the Wynn as he enjoyed some leisure time in Las Vegas. As the TMZ Sports source, who was available that evening, claimed, looking at the long look on Vrabel’s face, it appears he didn’t have a good day in Vegas.

The outlet didn’t find any company with the former Titans’ head coach, but they did observe him enjoying the iced-down drink while rolling the rice at the craps table. Vrabel has been spotted more than usual in Vegas days since he didn’t land any coaching gigs.

Mike Vrabel’s shift from Titans coach to Browns consultant

Though the 48-year-old couldn’t find a coaching gig this offseason, he did find another job at the Cleveland Browns as a coaching and personnel consultant, as reported by ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Vrabel remained with the Titans for around six years, from 2018 to 2023, before getting fired after the bizarre 6-11 season. In his tenure, he has led the team to three playoffs and a couple of divisional titles.

However, now that he has moved on to the next chapter of his career, he has already developed a great bond with the Browns’ head coach, Kevin Stefanski, and general manager, Andrew Berry, in recent years. He also helped Cleveland scout players at the NFL Combine in Indianapolis just a few weeks ago.
