When it comes to the NFL’s true opponents, one of the all-time favorites remains Jerry Rice and Deion Sanders. What started out as a rivalry became a sweet friendship when Sanders joined the San Francisco 49ers.

I think Deion did a fantastic job at Jackson State. He brought a lot of recognition. He changed the culture there.

The Hall of Famer believes it is because of Sanders only, that a historically black college gained a newfound recognition and cultural difference. Sanders not only revived the college football culture but also caught national attention.

Although he parted ways from Jackson State, he found a new home at the University of Colorado. There as well, Sanders made sure to leave his mark through his distinctive strategic approach.
