In One Piece chapter 1063, the Blackbeard Pirates were chasing the Heart Pirates. Law and his crew were ambushed by the Emperor’s crew as soon as they resurfaced. The key perpetrators behind this attack were Van Augur, Jesus Burgess, Doc Q, and Blackbeard. Using the abilities of their Devil Fruits, they wreak havoc for Law’s crew. However, Supernova was a tough fight and unwilling to go down so easily.

There are not many reasons why Blackbeard might kill Law. The only valid reason to eliminate him is to acquire the Ope Ope no Mi, the ultimate Devil Fruit. There have been mentions that the Blackbeard pirates are chasing characters with powerful devil fruits. This solidifies the theory that Blackbeard will not let Law off his hook.

Blackbeard may be aware of the full potential of the Ope Ope no Mi, so he would want one of his crew members to have it. There is another possibility that he might ask Law to use the Immortality Operation on him. However, as the story progresses, things aren’t looking pretty for Law so far. The only way he can get out of this mess is if someone helps him. Otherwise, the chances of his survival are pretty grim.
