Draymond Green‘s ejection today was so bizarre that fans have already called out the star. Then, videos showed that his superstar teammate Stephen Curry broke down after Green talked his way out of the game. Now after the game, it was his head coach’s turn. Steve Kerr said that his defensive ace deserved the ejection for his actions.
Draymond Green was ejected just 4 minutes into the game. He also did not argue about anything that pertained to him. This is why Steve Kerr did not hold back when discussing the ejection in the post-game press conference. This is what Kerr said:
Too bad. It was unfortunate. He deserved it. He will bounce back.Steve Kerr via postgame interview
Steve Kerr denied a follow-up question about whether or not this incident has put a dent in his confidence in Green. But, the fact that Kerr felt his player deserved the ejection indicates such acts will not be tolerated in the future.
After all, there was a chance that the Golden State Warriors would lose the game once Green left. Their entire offensive and defensive game plan is based on his skills and intelligence. Thankfully, Curry and his other teammates ensured a much-needed win.
Had the game gone in a different direction, Kerr’s reaction would likely have been different. They need everyone’s input in their quest to secure a play-in spot. If they fail to do so, there is a high chance the entire blame will fall on Green’s shoulders.

Draymond Green needs the Golden State Warriors to enter the playoffs
With ten games remaining in the regular season, the Golden State Warriors continue to walk on a tightrope with regard to their playoff hopes. The Houston Rockets are on an impressive 10-game winning streak. They remain just one game behind the team from the Bay Area. Any slip-up will cause the momentum to shift and help the Rockets to grab the final play-in spot.
Draymond Green
The worst-case scenario for the Warriors is if they lose the play-in spot. Or, for that matter, do not make it to the 1st round of the playoffs. In both situations, the chances of fans and analysts pointing the blame at Draymond Green remains high. After all, his suspensions, ejections, technical fouls, etc., have contributed to the appalling record.
Had he played every game, they could have at least secured a play in spots. At least that is what the win-loss records show with Draymond Green at the start.
