Nikita Kuzmin was forced to issue an apology after an on air blunder on Monday as he discussed his fall out with Celebrity Big Brother co-star Fern Britton.

The Strictly Come Dancing professional, 26, discussed his recent feud with the television presenter, 66, during an appearance on Loose Women.

But as he got carried away discussing the drama that happened inside the Big Brother house Nikita swore in an accidental slip-up.

The pair butted heads in tense scenes last week with Fern admitting she was offended when Nikita had attempted to compliment her fashion sense.

He later knocked her flying into the sofa during a chaotic shopping task set by Big Brother in which she had to get checked over by a medic. Nikita Kuzmin, 26, was forced to issue an apology after an on air blunder on Monday as he discussed his fall out with Celebrity Big Brother co-star Fern Britton

Addressing the situation on Loose Women, the dancer explained: ‘The thing is I did not forget I was being filmed but I thought most of it was going to get cut.

‘So I was sure some bits, which after when I came out everybody was like so you knocked out Fern… I was like s**t.’

The Loose Women panellists gasped while Katie Piper reminded Nikita that he was live on air as she responded: ‘We can’t cut that it’s live telly.’

After apologising he corrected himself: ‘I was, in that moment, confused, perplexed, bamboozled, everything at the same time, I was really confused on what we were talking about but the most important thing was we cleared it up in the end.

‘We probably misunderstood each other and I’m always really sorry if I offend anyone in any way. I never have bad intentions with anybody.’

His comments come after Fern also admitted she and Nikita ‘misunderstood each other’ after the pair were embroiled in a tense row in the Big Brother house.

The former This Morning presenter came in fifth place on the ITV show during Friday night’s final, with the Strictly Come Dancing professional coming second to David Potts.

However, Fern confirmed to ITV viewers that their row is now squashed and the pair are now ‘great’ friends.

Speaking with hosts AJ Odudu and Will Best, she said: ‘I’m slightly on planet 11 but everything is good. I think we just misunderstood each other.

‘Something happened and I misunderstood him and then he misunderstood me. But we are all good now and he is fantastic.

‘He is a lovely man and we would have been fine, but we had a misunderstanding, but we are now great.’

It comes as the pair butted heads in tense scenes earlier this week as the housemates enjoyed playing a game on the sofas.

Fern poured Nikita a drink and said, ‘You and I get on alright when we’re playing games. Can I tell you? How old are you now?’

As Nikita answers that he is 26, Fern replies, ‘When you’re 66, you’ll have exactly the same brain which is why you have to understand that I’ve still got a 26-year-old brain.’

Baffled as to where the conversation is heading, Nikita replied: ‘I’m a bit confused about this.’

Fern responded: ‘You shouldn’t be confused. You never change your brain. Everything is hilarious – all bum jokes, all c**k jokes. Everything is still as it is when you’re 66.’

Even more perplexed, the Strictly professional asked: ‘Are we having a beef? What’s happening?’

Fern then finally gets to her point as she explained: ‘I’m just saying never look at an old person and think they’re old. We’re still in our heads 26.’

Still confused Nikita probed: ‘Referring to?’

Fern then brought up a comment Nikita made previously when he complimented her fashion sense after she wore a striped top.

She continued: ‘When you said to me the other day, you were very sweet, “I like your stripy top, stripes are in fashion Fern.”

‘Bless you, you were passing me a compliment but also saying “actually they’re in fashion” as if it was a surprise to me. It wasn’t a surprise.’
