LOUIS Walsh has taken a savage swipe at his Celebrity Big Brother co-stars by claiming they aren’t celebrities.

The X Factor judge, 71, described his housemates as ‘z-list’ while chatting to Rylan Clark about his time on the show.

Former Big Brother host Rylan asked Louis about meeting his co-stars for the first time during an interview on Radio 2.

But Louis replied: “I didn’t know any of the others before I went in.

“They were supposed to be celebrities.”

As Rylan, 35, laughed in shock, Louis flatly told him: “I’m just telling you what I think. It’s just my opinion.”

Louis made it to the final of this year’s Celebrity Big Brother, eventually finishing in fourth place.

The outspoken star didn’t hold back during his three weeks in the house and managed to reignite several feuds among several famous stars on the outside world.

Louis slated his former X Factor co-star, Girls Aloud’s Cheryl Cole, he had a pop at Take That singer Mark Owen and also spoke his mind about Boyzone’s Ronan Keating.

But the Irish star’s biggest row to come out of his CBB appearance is with John and Edward Grimes – aka Jedward.

The X Factor duo were horrified to be branded “vile” by Louis while he chatted to his housemates, and their best mate Gemma Collins was fuming on their behalf.

Former Towie star Gemma launched a tirade on social media as she furiously defended her blonde-haired pals.

Speaking to Rylan, however, Louis thinks he played it pretty safe while in the house and didn’t go too far when ‘sl*gging off’ people.

Louis said: “I didn’t sl*g off that many people. It wasn’t vindictive, it was just my opinion of them.”

Laughing, but also agreeing, Rylan told him: “You’re one of the most honest people that I’ve met. Maybe sometimes too honest for your own good!

“Every time I’ve seen you over the last 12 years since we first met, whenever we bump into each other whether it’s at an event or somewhere else, the two of us gravitate towards each other.

“The first thing we say to each other is, ‘Who do you know? What do you know? Where you been? What’s going on?’

“And we have about an hour’s debrief of what we know!”

Louis maintained he was “wasn’t vindictive” when discussing famous people from the outside world.

“It wasn’t vindictive. Whatever I said, it wasn’t vindictive,” he insisted. “I just say things. I just make mad opinions on people. I’m not always right, I often change.”

Louis did admit he has found a friend in Coronation Street’s Colson Smith, along with Broadway performer Marisha Wallace.

“I liked Colson. I like him a lot. He was a 100 per cent genuine guy,” Louis told Rylan.

“I liked the girl that sang a lot.”

Rylan reminded Louis her name is Marisha, to which he replied: “Marisha, she’s a great singer. She can sing anything. She’s very like Nicole [Scherzinger].

“I think Lauren [Simon] was gold and They didn’t keep her in long enough. I think she had so much more to give.”

Meanwhile, Louis has opened up to The Sun about how medics had to rush to his aid in the CBB house after he suffered several crippling panic attacks.

The star struggled with anxiety at night time when the celebs were shut away in their dark bedroom.
