The film is based on a script by David Koepp, who wrote the first two Jurassic Park films. Earlier, Gareth Edwards was not the choice for the director.

It was David Leitch. However, when Leitch left the project citing creative differences, Edwards was roped in. The latter admitted that this film is his current priority, and it made him “drop everything like a stone and dive right in.”

Now, it will be seen if Scarlett Johansson is in Jurassic World 4 and if it can garner a better critical reception than Jurassic World: Dominion. The film is set to be released on July 2, 2025.
