Ruth Langsford revealed she was on her way to vote as she shared a look at the affluent town she calls home on her Instagram Stories section

Ruth Langsford shared her local town with her social media followers as she headed to vote in today’s general election.

The TV presenter, 64, took to her Instagram Stories to share an update – and give fans a glimpse of the lovely place she calls home.

With the sun shining, Ruth gushed over “the prettiest Polling Station” as she got ready for election day.

Panning the camera across the delightful location, fans were able to see the relaxing vibes of Weybridge as the greenery and huge trees made for a friendly setting.

The British flag was flying high as she readied herself to walk up the steps of what appeared to be a church. The impressive building showcased a stunning circular central window and arched doorway.

The peak of the property was complete with a crisp white triangle, while there was a large clock in the chimney breast.

Weybridge is an affluent town in the Elmbridge district in Surrey and is home to a number of famous faces and wealthy residents.

After seemingly sharing her vote, Ruth opted to then update her fans with an impressive looking breakfast, labelling it a “fried egg and bacon kind of morning”.

It comes as she continues to get on with her life following her split from husband of 14 years, Eamonn Holmes. The pair shared a stunning £3.25million mansion in the town which boasts six bedrooms and an incredible kitchen.

However, now Eamonn has moved out, it remains to be seen what will happen to the property the pair shared with son Jack. Eamonn also has three other children, Declan, Rebecca and Niall from a previous marriage.

Yesterday, Ruth showed she was keeping herself busy by throwing herself into her work once again amid her marriage breakdown. While she had been taking time away from her role on Loose Women, she made her TV return just days after news of the split as she appeared on shopping channel QVC and kept her wedding ring on.

Sharing a snap of herself in the lift at the Q headquarters, Ruth told her followers she was back in meetings as she played Ready Let’s Go by Darkminds over the top of her mirror selfie.
