The Pat McAfee Show is broadcast live every weekday at noon ET on ESPN, and fans were treated to a surprise Swift reference to kick off the show.

McAfee introduced the cast as the show started and threw it over to cohost Boston Connor, who showed off his shirt, which featured notable reality TV star Duane `Dog’ Chapman.

But the shirt also said ‘Taylor Swift’ at the bottom of the shirt, and that promoted a bizarre on-air exchange from the panel.

“It says Taylor Swift, but it is not a Taylor Swift shirt.

“It’s a ploy; I think it’s a combination of the two.

“I think it’s a play on Taylor Swift, and it is just Dog the Bounty Hunter.

McAfee quickly jumped in to shoot down any Swift insults or jokes.

“We will not take any negative comments about Taylor Swift.”

Connor fired back that it wasn’t an insult and felt being compared to Dog the Bounty Hunter was a “compliment.”

However, McAfee highly disagreed and said, “Dog has lost his fastball.”

“Taylor Swift is selling out stadiums right now across the world; Dog the bounty hunter couldn’t find that guy.

“Last I heard, he did not find him… Some people may say Dog has lost his fastball.”

Swiftie’s and Pat McAfee Show fans rushed to social media with reactions to the hilarious exchange.

One fan joked: “Pat defending the Swiftie’s new love of football is my Roman Empire – I will not forget this kindness, Patrick!”

Another said: “I did not have Connor defending Dog the Bounty Hunter on my bingo card…for some reason, haha.”

A third: “Does Dog the Bounty Hunter still have his fastball? These are the questions America wants answered.”

And a fourth stated: “I love this show. And thanks for being welcoming to Taylor and the rest of us. Didn’t think I’d be ending the year watching a football show every day while I work from home, but here we are.”
