The conflict between Marvel and DC is eternal. Ever since the two comics came into being, they have divided fans all over the world regarding what is the better version.

Fans of each faction can’t get enough of claiming superiority over the other. But while each side won’t admit defeat, there are some aspects in which one beats the other.

And there is one DC character, who will give even Wolverine a run of his money for healing capacity – the mercenary, Deathstroke.

Deathstroke was an underutilized character in the DCEU

Zack Snyder’s DCEU introduces the world to Deathstroke, an assassin feared across the DC Universe for being lethal, in Justice League Snyder’s Cut, albeit in a limited role only. Though that might be all we see of the deadly mercenary in the franchise.

That doesn’t mean that he is an unknown figure. The comic book faithful need no introduction to his powers. The character has risen through the ranks over the years, sealing his position as one of the most hardened personalities in comic books. The DCEU surely missed a chance by not doing justice to the character.

Deathstroke is not just a man with muscle and weapons

What makes Deathstroke so lethal? It’s not just the result of the fact that he has been a part of the army since he was young. His ascendancy in the army was nothing short of astounding. But these are not what make him one of the most formidable villains out there. It is his regenerative capability.

During his time in the army, Deathstroke was experimented upon which saw the activation of a latent metagene in his body that made him the force to be reckoned with he is.

It made him agile, strong, and intelligent and gifted him with a healing factor that is the dream of Wolverine, a character who is no pushover when it comes to possessing regenerative capability.

Deathstroke can control his healing

Deathstroke can consciously regulate how much he can regenerate
Wolverine is one of the most highly-rated characters in the Marvel Universe. Not only for his heart-wrenching origin story, or the development he has undergone over the years.

But for his ferocity in battle, a trait that would not be possible without his natural healing capacity. The character’s healing capacity is all-encompassing.

Hulk is another creature that can bear any injury. But even they lag behind Deathstroke in one aspect.

The DC mercenary might not be an equal to Wolverine when it comes to the ability to heal wounds. But he has the power to control his regeneration.

While the Marvel superhero manifests his problem subconsciously, he can activate it with his own will.

This control is what makes him one of the most formidable characters in comic book history, and a character who can give Wolverine and Hulk a run for their money.
