Diego Luna has confirmed that ‘Andor’ Season 2 has officially wrapped filming
Diego Luna, the charismatic star of Andor, bids farewell to the second season of the highly anticipated Star Wars series. Luna took to Instagram to express his gratitude to the dedicated crew as filming wrapped on the set.
In his heartfelt message, Luna thanked the entire Andor team for the unforgettable experience and years of hard work, acknowledging the contributions of over 700 individuals to the production.
Accompanied by a photo of his character, Cassian Andor, Luna concluded with a hopeful “see you soon.”
While the release date for the second season remains undisclosed, showrunner Tony Gilroy’s vision for Andor comes to fruition with this installment.
As a prequel to Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, the series promises to offer further insights into Cassian Andor’s journey within the growing Rebel Alliance.
Gilroy has teased that each episode will delve into a different year of Andor’s life, leading up to the events of Rogue One.
Although some characters from the film, like Jyn Erso, may not appear, returning stars include Genevieve O’Reilly as Mon Mothma and Forest Whitaker as Saw Gerrera, among others.
With Luna’s heartfelt farewell signaling the end of filming, fans eagerly anticipate the release of Andor’s second season, poised to unravel more of the Star Wars universe’s intricate narrative.
