Many speculations have been surrounding LeBron James future with the Los Angeles Lakers after being eliminated in the first round of the NBA playoffs be the Denver Nuggets once again.

Their head coach Darvin Ham was fired on Friday and plenty of uncertainty looms with the team.

But for now, the attention is on James son Bronny as he has a pivotal decision in the near future, trying to commit to the NBA or heading back to a second year in college.

The pressure might be on the young player, especially after receiving an invitation to participate in the NBA combine. The USC Trojans that decide to declare for the draft while maintaining his college eligibility, has yet to commit to another school after entering the transfer portal.

The NBA sent 78 invitations to the scouting event, including Zaccharie Risacher, Alex Sarr and Donovan Clingan. The combine will be held from May 12 to the 19 at Wintrust Arena in Chicago.

This will be first combine event that will a direct repercussion in the draft; all invited players are required to attend and participate in order to eligible for the upcoming draft. This is part of an agreement with the National Basketball Players Association and the league in the most recent collective bargaining agreement.

Bronny James has things to prove at the combine

Bronny James averaged 13.8 points, 5.5 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 1.8 steals per game coming out from Sierra Canyon High School and in 2023 he was projected to have an immediate impact at USC, but in July Bronny suffered a cardiac arrest while practicing with his teammates and when he rejoined the team in December, his stats could not rise.

Bronny James played in 25 games and averaged only 4.8 points per game with 2.1 assists and 2.8 rebounds just over 19 minutes.
