Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James, the 20-time All-Star and the leading point scorer of NBA, is still one of the best players in the league, apart from being the biggest superstar of NBA.

 

LeBron’s footwork and clutch gameplay is really challenging for any player who tries to defend him. One such instance happened recently in the game between the Lakers and the Grizzlies.

The 4-time NBA Champion had a brilliant showing against the Memphis Grizzlies on Wednesday as he managed to score 23 points, 14 rebounds and 12 assists in the game as the Lakers beat the Grizzlies 136-124.

An interesting moment of the game that went viral on social media was, when Grizzlies forward G.G. Jackson, who is currently the youngest players in the NBA, was guarding LeBron James, who is currently the oldest player in the league. Jackson tried to circle around but could not defend the Lakers legend as LeBron managed to score 2 points in the tussle.

The age difference between the two can be understood after one realizes that, when GG Jackson was born in December 2004, LeBron James had already been playing in the NBA for more than a year! LeBron recently talked about GG Jackson and his growth as a player.

LeBron James had some high praise for the youngest player of the league and shared that Jackson has gotten better and better, every time he’s stepped out on the floor.

 

LeBron said, “Ever since he’s been playing, he’s gotten better and better, I had an opportunity to watch him a lot at Peach Jam a couple years ago, playing for team CP3 and I felt like he was one of the best players at Peach Jam that year.”

 

LeBron has had some injury issues this season, but at 39 years of age, King James is still leading the Los Angeles Lakers, with 25.1 points, 7.3 rebounds and 8.1 assists per game, which goes on to prove the consistency and longevity of the 20-time All-Star.

 

The Lakers are close to the playoffs, as they are the 9th-seeded team in the Western Conference. But they have only 9 games left in the 2023-24 season, so LeBron and company need to put winning streak now, if they want to make it to the playoffs.
