THINGS are set to get very awkward in the Love Island villa as one of the girls makes a huge gaffe just moments after recoupling.

In dramatic scenes, the islanders had to finally make a decision on who they wanted to be with after the sister villa twist was introduced on Sunday evening.

And for one girl it all gets too much and she gets confused while talking to the lad she was coupled up with before her cheeky visit to Casa Amor.

A show insider told us:  “When the girls arrive back in the main villa, things get really awkward when she calls the boy she was coupled up with before Casa the wrong name.

“It’s really funny but also really awkward.”

The moment is expected to be light relief amid the very upsetting recoupling, which even leaves host Maya Jama in tears.

Tonight will see mass cull as Islanders are sent packing in the explosive scenes.

The elimination follows a cheating frenzy across the villas as the boys and girls explored their options.

A source previously said: “The recoupling will shock everyone and no one is safe.

“Reuniting the two villas was explosive – there was a lot of drama and heads will roll.

“The tension was unbearable and viewers will be left gobsmacked as to who choses who.

“The infamous Casa recoupling will cause chaos and has completely shaken up the villa and the relationships.

“A number of Islanders have already been dumped from the villa and are on their way home.”

This week has seen Matilda Draper’s man Sean Stone kisse Diamante Laiva and Mimii Ngulube’s love interest Ayo smooch Jessica Spencer.

Jess White has been kissing Hugo, while Grace has snogged both Blade and Moziah.

Wil smooched Lucy, Konnor and Emma had a kiss and Trey enjoyed one with Ellie.

Last night Love Island had it’s highest peak overnight since the launch, with 1.4 million viewers. It also pulled in 449K 16-34s on a TV set, the biggest 16-34 overnight audience of this series so far.
