After last season’s disappointment, the New York Jets are all set to start a new campaign with new faces. Aaron Rodgers, the veteran quarterback is all set to come back from his Achilles Tendon injury. To weaponize him, the Jets management has equipped him with the necessary arsenal. The Pro-Bowler Tyron Smith will be responsible for protecting him from the threats of the opponents. In addition, the veteran quarterback will target Mike Williams as his receiver.
Following the signings, Stephen A. Smith claimed that the Jets have a high chance of winning the AFC East. The Division boasts of the likes of the New York Jets, the Buffalo Bills, the Miami Dolphins, and the New England Patriots. Considering the names, it will be a difficult battle for the team.
However, Smith believes that the team can make the impossible possible if they follow a condition. According to the veteran analyst, the team will have to remain healthy.
The Jets got a chance, bro. If you're telling me that everybody's going to be healthy, I would pick the Jets to win the AFC East this year. I really would.Stephen A. Smith on First Take
However, his take did not satisfy his co-host Shannon Sharpe who sarcastically denied the claims by Smith.
You see what you did, Stephen A.? 'Oh they got a chance. You know they have the lottery draw three times a week? I got a chance! I ain't won it yet!Shannon Sharpe responded

Stephen A. Smith’s concern for the New York Jets is genuine
There is hardly a doubt that the New York Jets have had a proactive NFL offseason. They did sign a lot of quality players around Aaron Rodgers. However, two of their best signings, Tyron Smith and Mike Williams have major injury concerns.
The real problem can be Mike Williams who hardly featured in the last season. During his tenure at the Los Angeles Chargers, he first had an Achilles Tendon injury. In the next season, the WR tore his ACL in his left knee, from which he is currently recovering.

As things stand right now, the WR is far away from becoming fit. Nevertheless, the Jets fans are hoping for his return ahead of the 2024-25 season.
