The Utah Jazz and Golden State Warriors meet Sunday in NBA action at the Chase Center. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best bets for this game. Here’s a Jazz vs Warriors prediction.
Utah Jazz
The Utah Jazz have been in horrible form as they’ve lost 14 of their last 15 games overall and they will be hoping to arrest an 11-game losing streak after getting scorched by the Clippers in a 131-102 road defeat on Friday. Talen Horton-Tucker led the team with 17 points on five of 14 shooting off the bench, Omer Yurtseven and Collin Sexton each scored 12 points while Kendrick Nunn chipped in with 10 points. As a team, the Jazz shot just 38 percent from the field and nine of 30 from the 3-point line as they got off to a terrible start and were never really in the contest after getting outscored by 41-16 in the first quarter.
Golden State Warriors
Meanwhile, the Golden State Warriors have been in great form as they were on a six-game winning streak before they got stopped in their tracks by the Mavericks in a 108-106 road defeat on Friday. Stephen Curry led the team with 28 points, six rebounds and five assists, Klay Thompson added 16 points while Gary Payton chipped in with 14 points off the bench. As a team, the Warriors shot 44 percent from the field and 12 of 35 from the 3-point line as they worked their way back from a 16-point deficit, only to allow the Mavericks to score the game winning layup with just 4.1 seconds left on the clock.
Golden State Warriors Team Facts
The Warriors have won each of their last seven games against Northwest Division opponents that held a losing record.
The Warriors have covered the spread in each of their last six games against the Jazz.
Each of the Warriors’ last four games against the Jazz following a road loss have gone OVER the total points line.
Utah Jazz Team Facts
The Jazz have lost each of their last 23 road games against Western Conference opponents that held a winning record.
Each of the Jazz’s last four games against Pacific Division opponents have gone OVER the total points line.
Jazz vs Warriors prediction
The Jazz are still without Lauri Markkanen, Jordan Clarkson and John Collins, while the Warriors are going to be shorthanded for this one while Stephen Curry is still ruled out with Jonathan Kuminga and Andrew Wiggins both listed as questionable. The Jazz have been one of the worst teams in the league for a while now. The Jazz have been hit hard by injuries and just lost by 29 points to the Clippers in their last outing. The Warriors were playing some of their best basketball of the season before dropping a close one to the Mavericks in their last game. The Warriors could be severely shorthanded here, but they still have more than enough firepower to get the much-needed win at home.
Peter Tran’s Free Pick: Golden State -10.5
