Cousins doesn’t want to finish his career like the NBA legend playing for three different teams in his last playing years.

Kirk Cousins aims to finish his career with the Atlanta Falcons. The four-time Pro Bowl quarterback doesn’t prefer becoming a journeyman in the twilight of his career like NBA Hall of Famer Shaquille O’Neal.
While appearing on the latest episode of the former Lakers star’s The Big Podcast, Cousins revealed that he wants to make Atlanta the final stop of his NFL career.
I want this to be my final stop. No offense, but I don't want to play for the Phoenix Suns and the Boston Celtics at the end. I want to finish with the Miami Heat, if you will, and be done. That's really my plan.Kirk Cousins told Shaquille O’Neal
After being drafted by the Orlando Magic in 1992, Shaq went to play for the Los Angeles Lakers, where he won three NBA championships. Afterward, he played for the Miami Heat, winning his fourth title. From there, he moved on to spend seasons with the Phoenix Suns and Cleveland Cavaliers. Eventually, O’Neal finished his career in Boston with the Celtics in 2011.
Kirk Cousins wants to make his stay with the Atlanta Falcons memorable for his kids
Michigan State graduate Kirk Cousins was drafted by the Washington Commanders in 2012 during the fourth round. He played six seasons in the capital before moving to the Minnesota Vikings in 2018, where he was the starting quarterback for six seasons.
Last year, Cousins’ campaign ended prematurely after he suffered an Achilles tear in Week 8. His contract was coming to an end, which the Vikings showed reluctance to extend. With seemingly no resistance, the Atlanta Falcons swooped in and signed the 35-year-old to a massive, four-year, $180 million contract.
While speaking with O’Neal, Cousins revealed that he not only wants to finish his career in Atlanta but also wants to make it memorable for his two sons.
