KATE Middleton has admitted that she has cancer, but before she revealed her secret many people – including Blake Lively – made a joke out of the Princess of Wales’ disappearance.

Before Kate, 42, appeared in the heartbreaking video announcing she was battling cancer, she was last seen on Christmas Day attending church.

In January, Kensington Palace revealed that she was scheduled for planned abdominal surgery.

After that, the world didn’t hear from Kate for more than two months leaving fans to come up with their own theories of what happened to the royal.

Some speculated that she was dead, divorcing her husband Prince William, or even on the show The Masked Singer.

On Mother’s Day in the UK, a photo of Kate and her young three children was posted, but people immediately noticed that it was edited before it was pulled from news sites.

This Photoshop failure furthered conspiracy theories about the Princess and opened the door for more scrutiny.

Blake, 36, was one of the people who made a joke out of Kate’s disappearance, and the joke turned sour after the reason for the royal’s disappearance was announced.

On March 15, the actress shared a now-deleted post on Instagram promoting her Betty Buzz drink line.

She was sitting next to a pool holding a can of her drink while flaunting an intentionally enlarged thumb with a lemon floating over her head.

“I’m so excited to share this new photo I just took today to announce our 4 new @bettybuzz & @bettybooze products! Now you know why I’ve been MIA,” her caption read at the time.

It was a clear dig at Kate, and Blake quickly apologized for the post after more information was revealed.

“I’m sure no one cares today but I feel like I have to acknowledge this,” Blake later wrote in an Instagram Story.

“I made a silly post around the ‘Photoshop fails’ frenzy, and oh man, that post has me mortified today.

“I’m sorry. Sending love and well wishes to all, always.”

WANTING MORE

In the comment section of her most recent Instagram post, which was shared four weeks ago for the Super Bowl, critics slammed the Gossip Girl alum.

Many thought her apology wasn’t good enough, some called her a “Mean girl,” and others hoped she learned a serious lesson from this mistake.

“Shame on you! Why can’t you post it instead of putting just a Story of it!” one person raged.

“You have to apologize to the Princess of Wales clearly. No one wants your ‘love’ or ‘well wishes’ by the way.”

“For your information, honey, you can’t claim to be a feminist or supporter of women after this thing,” added another.

“Not a silly post. An absolutely disgusting and disgraceful post,” a user reacted, and added, “do better.”

“That’s one pathetic ‘apology.’ Pride comes before a fall. Don’t be surprised by the backlash,” commented a critic.

“Hope you’re totally ashamed of yourself in your treatment of Princess Catherine – karma going to come for you,” a fan warned.

In addition to these comments, Blake’s comment section was filled with criticism and many people claimed they could no longer support her.
