Farmer Wants a Wife stars Andrew Coleman and Claire Saunders have ‘cancelled’ their wedding after they announced their engagement in March this year.

The fan-favourite couple found love on the series last season when they famously left the show early to pursue a relationship together.

But Claire, 38, took to Instagram on Monday to reveal that ‘life is hard’ as she announced the lovebirds have now called off their union.

Sharing an image of her pet dogs sitting in the back of her car, the reality TV star wrote: ‘My dogs and I have headed north to Darwin to work for the dry season.

‘Andrew and I have had to cancel our wedding due to reasons out of our control, but we are both okay.

‘I’m not sure what else to say other than sometimes life is hard and we all just need a little breathing space.

‘There will be no farming content from me for the foreseeable future.’

Claire and Andrew, 42, have removed their engagement post from their social accounts, with the pair last appearing in a post together in October.

However, the pair still follow each other and Andrew has Claire’s name tagged in his bio next to a yellow heart, making it unclear if they have separated.

Daily Mail Australia has reached out to Andrew and Claire for comment.

Andrew and Claire announced their engagement in March this year when they shared a happy snap to Instagram after finding love on FWAW the year before.

In the image, the pair cuddled up as Claire showed off her emerald engagement ring alongside the caption: ’17/03/24′.

The pair were so in love that they actually left the Channel Seven program early to start their life together on Andrew’s farm.

So, fans of the couple weren’t too surprised when Claire also appeared to announce on her Instagram page that they are trying to have children.

The day after their engagement post, Claire shared a photo of herself and her new beau on his farm in Narromine, NSW.

She captioned the cute snaps: ‘Preg testing done and dusted, now we wait for all the gorgeous babies and pray for some rain.’

However, she wasn’t talking about human babies, she was referencing the farm animals.

One person wrote: ‘Wooohooo babies coming’.

Speaking to Woman’s Day, Andrew said: ‘We’re approaching it with the mindset of, “Let’s enjoy one another first for a period of time and make memories of our own and if things keep evolving in a positive manner, then that’ll come”.’

Claire added: ‘It would be nice to have twins first up, and then see what would happen after that.!.!
